Chief Executive Officer
Adjunct Associate Professor
Adjunct Associate Professor Naomi Dwyer is CEO of South Australia’s Women’s and Children’s Health Network. She relocated from Queensland to South Australia in 2014 to take up the wonderful opportunity to lead this state-wide health network responsible for the delivery of quality healthcare to the State’s babies, children and women.
Naomi has extensive senior executive experience in the leadership of large complex health services, having been Chief Operating Officer of Gold Coast Health Service, one of Queensland’s largest health services, during the planning and commissioning of the new $1.7 B Gold Coast University Hospital. She also has executive leadership experience in the private sector, having been part of the Executive team which successfully established Australia’s first private medical program at Bond University.
Naomi believes that making a long term difference in the health outcomes of any community requires a focus on the first 1001 days of life, leading the translation of science into practice, and engaging consumers and the community authentically in how their healthcare is designed and delivered. She is very proud to lead the dynamic and distinguished team of health professionals at the Women’s and Children’s Health Network.
Naomi holds undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications in Business and Law, holds academic appointments at University of Adelaide and Griffith University, and is Vice President of Children’s Healthcare Australia.
