The Consumer and Community Engagement Unit provides leadership to increase opportunities for the community to actively participate in the planning, delivery and evaluation of WCHN services.

Approximately 300 regular volunteers support the work of the WCHN each week in more than 60 wards and departments, including children contact areas, Women’s and Babies Division, and by giving general support.

All WCHN Volunteers complete a comprehensive training course and are supported in their roles by WCHN staff. Volunteers have DCSI Employment Screenings.
