Research Events

The MS McLeod Research Fund sponsors monthly research seminars at the WCHN, usually on the fourth Wednesday of the month in the Queen Victoria Lecture Theatre at the Women's and Children's Hospital (COVID-19 restrictions apply).

MS McLeod Research Seminar Series

The MS McLeod Research Fund (supported by the Women's and Children's Hospital Foundation) funds a monthly research seminar series at the Women's and Children's Health Network (WCHN).

The MS McLeod Research Fund was established by a bequest from the estate of Murdoch Stanley McLeod. The purpose of this fund is to support in perpetuity paediatric research. This fund also offers various scholarships, fellowships and grants annually.

One of the popular initiatives of the Fund is to sponsor the M S McLeod Research Seminar Series, which is held monthly (February – November), usually on the fourth Wednesday of the month (with some flexibility for dates) at 12.30 pm in the Queen Victoria Lecture Theatre at the Women's and Children's Hospital (COVID-19 restrictions apply).

The WCHN Research Secretariat organises this initiative of investigator-driven nominations for the MS McLeod Research Seminars on behalf of the WCH Foundation. This represents a great opportunity for you to invite like-minded researchers and/or interesting speakers to share their knowledge and expertise.

Priority will be given to leading and experienced researchers / speakers who will address topics of relevance to women's and children's health, in particular in the area of paediatric research.

Please refer to the document below for available dates and further instructions for current nominations.
